Jess and llama

The Owners

Jessica Remick-Newcomb, company owner, spent her years in high school caring for her horseback-riding instructors’ horses and dogs. She studied animal science at university, continuing to care for large farms, kennels, and personal pets. Following her degree, Jessica decided to apply her passion for animals by starting “Four Footed Pet Sitting” with her future husband, Jonathan Newcomb, an electrical engineering student she met at school.

From that important decision in 1999, business has been a rewarding growth experience filled with various kinds of furry pets and farm animals. Jessica and Jonathan continually update their education regarding animal health and behavior though seminars and experiences with their clients. Jessica had “Max Factor”, a wonderful rottweiler, when she met Jonathan with “Chipper”, his cocker-spaniel mix pup. Jessica is constantly involved with bringing “Max”(3/15/98-7/5/07), now “Camelot”(9/15/05-) to training classes, run-throughs/show-and-go’s, and competitions, spanning obedience (”Max”), tracking (”Max”&”Camelot”), and agility (”Camelot”). “Chipper”(5/15/96-) has been, and always will be, a super Frisbee-dog.

Four Footed Pet Sitting is insured by Pet Sitters Associates and annually refreshed with First-Aid/CPR certification.

Jon with Max and Chipper

Jess and Jon’s furry children are: “Max”(deceased), the big goofy rottweiler, “Chipper”, the Frisbee-playing spaniel-mix, “Camelot”, the fun mini-rocket rottweiler, “Pete”, the feline tenor, and “Melody”, the “I’m-not-so-cuddly” bunny.  All the dogs are ecstatic that Jess and Jon do such an interesting profession, since since they often work beside them, walking other dogs, seeing the big world.  “Pete” stays on “guard duty”, keeping “Melody” safe.

Jess and Jon hope you to be well pleased by their kind and competent handling abilities, complemented by their education, experience, and enthusiasm.
